November Reveries Tree skeletons rattle in the Winter wind that cracks the dry-stubble stalks of corn and lures the last November scraps of withered leaves to dance the waning night in faint, dry sounds like the distant footsteps of long-forgotten spirits passing with their lonely memories of times and lives and loves … forever lost to such a cold, indifferent moon and vast-eternal sky, just before the turning of a page to a bright new-frosted dawn. --- b. e. adams (11/09/2011) |

This is what I would consider a poem of the ancients, and that it should live long and strong among them. A very find write, my friend. Brava! |
