If you're brought up rough
to fend for yourself
it makes you tough
in some places
where your soft
might have been
if over protected
then overbearing
kept your defenses down
if no
choked in your throat
and confrontation
was over your dead body
you'd bury your head
along with the dread
and suck up the insanity
and make the best of it
staying closer now
that he's the enemy

Much sense in
Ancient History Genesis.
