I haven't submitted anything for a long while, been caught up in personal drama.

Spider-drops

His pilgrimage to the heart, beneath veiny cloudburst
Periwinkle art; the skies satiated thirst.
Nestled alone while spiders pass.
They dance and coil in emerald grass.
His soul trickles over like the clouds giving way.
The soliloquy is cued; his part he will play.

Empty and vacuous
Though spiders remain
Shell and husk; valueless
Vacancy and disdain.
So they begin, with strands
Soon tendrils and bands
Until their eight legs
Clinking lightly on his soul
Have woven him whole

It’s a fragile, swollen package
Too much heat can denature
Or the cold, he cannot gauge
Can split; rupture; fracture

The beginnings of innuendo
Bleed into a lacklustre finish
Observing passions diminuendo
As lovers dimensions diminish

Clutched to his faith
Ghost whispering to a wraith
Sipping from his wilted garden
Allowing his heart to set; harden.
Ebbing all those autumn shades
But memories resonance
Never quite fades.

There is so much to like about this, you weave a nice web and spin so much emotion.  What I find most effective is you stay true to the spider....wow, really nice writing.

Enjoyed your traverse through your thoughts with spider, autumn, garden, and never fading memories.
Very nice read.
