I sat on the metro train A midst the red striped seats Rocking to the clack clack of the railroad tracks. Looking at my phone My eyes raised... To a girl across from me Sitting sideways dark chestnut hair, all of 23 A long green lock of hair Around headphones Spiral threads circled her ear In the corner of my eye I saw someone smile Across from the girl There was you, 10 years older Even perhaps 42 Your hair of spun gold Delicate curls of sunshine in contrast to the melancholy woman of youth. Lost in the future A moment of time You looked good Happy, Beautiful, with Peace of Mind Caught in the moment, I glanced away Knowing if I smiled back at you You would be jealous Today |

I'd like to think someone could see me as I am and as I will be and like the both. *S* I certainly like this poem!! |

I agree with suthern. We do get older, and older, and older, and... Let's see where was I... Must be a senior moment. I ain't old I just look like it... Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. |
