Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Heartsleeve  snuggled up with a comforter
in front of the crackling fire
sipping on a hot one
Much too soon the fire was but coals
and her comforter had gone home

Perfect! Wonderful.

Perfect!

Did I mention that this was perfect?

They will come back, come back again,
As long as the red earth rolls.
He never wasted a leaf or a tree,
Do you think he would squander souls?

Ouch!  I was gonna suggest a legless comforter of some type but too many awkward images flooded my brain with that thought, so how about a silent (hug) returned to you?

I loved the warm fuzzies that always lingered when the comforters went home, my friend...
wrote something about that once...will see if I can find it, although I didn't use the word comforter...like that much better.
