The Day

Why do we revolve around
the sun
instead of the
daughter

Why does our star
burn the moon,
when she pulls
down her pants

God’s son
picked my vegetables
today
but couldn’t afford to
eat
any of them

As people drove by,
throwing buts and ifs
out their car windows
at the mix of cans
on the side
of the road
fouling the air
that was illegal,
for him,
to breathe.

How come sometimes
we put the
dumb,
back in freedom

The yarn on my headless
scalp,
can now
thread the needle
of a
dying
pine tree

Why did I get burrs
on eight toes
the month after
September

Why is it that I
like roses,
for their
thorns
and the blood
they take from
my hands

How does a
flower
ride a bike
without its,
pedals

How come even though
I wonder
I’m not sure I want to
know,
how you feel

Why was I
cursed
for the want,
to be trapped
in your thoughts

The more words I
learn,
the harder it is to right,
the wrongs

All the desert ever wanted
for a present
was a cloud
wrapped with a
rainbow

How come the
how’s
are always harder
to learn,
then the
wise

The skin of
autumn
is growing tight,
in my genes

Why does part of me
leave
every time,
I come

Why do you want to
impale
yourself
on my spear
it.

I’ve got two
one way tickets
to the minute,
after tomorrow
that expire
a day after
last night

Why do hugs
always have to
get mad
when all you have
to embrace
is air

Why do they call it
Tuesday
if that day
you’re only,
one

How come smiles
sometimes are easier
to write,
then make

How come I can only
hear your
skin
in the dark

I want to be the
man,
in, your woman

I want to be
the ocean
that fills the shores
of your blue
bay

How can there be
an I love,
without, you

Lord help my eyes
stay torn
I died
the day
to my eyes,
she was born

So many questions,

Well done, Richy.

Love to read your ramblin' thoughts! You 'cook' up some good ones! They take your readers (and fans!) on a circuitous route through a  very unusual (and talented) mind! I strap myself into my home office chair and get ready for an exciting (and sometimes erotic) ride which is sure to take my breath away! I am sometimes discombobulated ~ but I am always bedazzled!

Love 'n hugs,
Linda

At least you seem to have gotten Lori confused . . . That is difficult to do . . Actually I don't thing she was confused in the least.

A little class warfare because God's son couldn't buy the apples?. Maybe. I think God's son ought to be able figure out how he can buy the apple orchid someday. It's called self reliance.

Ahhhh, my head is swimming too many questions and no data.
Let me ask you one:  If two can sleep alone, can one sleep together?

You can do the word rambling thing real good.  I mean look what you did to Lori.  Wow...

Enjoyed, The Day of questions...

Oooooooooooo  I want to go there.  I don't know that I will ever run out of praise for you and your poetry.  You wear your heart on your sleeve in the very best way.  Your words fall like rain playing misty for me.  HOnestly Richy, you are the coolest breeze and the sweetest sigh this side of the moon.

xoxo
