Fair to middlin' of nowhere

Why fear
paralyzes my heart
in such peculiar places
I have no idea.
The cat will
take my tongue
and with it my will
to try

leaving me thus
I might as well be
a helpless babe
knowing naught
on my own

But given hand
possessing of
insight sought
my heart is freed
as if the chains
that bound it
were never wrought

Much too personal for me to get into, I think, Lori. However, I can understand that fear can grab you without you understanding why. A sixth sense, maybe, but real at the time. If a "given hand" which is insightful can enlighten your way, then all seems to be steady as she goes.

If by "much too personal for you to..." means you understand where I'm coming from then cool. Thanks

Richy, ah again with the flattery...and you are soo good too...Sometimes the hand is quicker than the eye...but that is a different kind of magic and I'm talking about a quirkey little curse of shy spots with deep pockets. Not my kink of choice.

Love this verse.
And, I agree with what Richy said!
Great write, Lori.
