SUNPLAY ON MY LITTLE FRIEND
9 October 2011

Darling little blue-headed lizard
running up the trunk
of a Deinbollia oblongifolia
outside my window,
just as I glanced up,
the sunlight glorifying
your baby-dragon magnificence,
moving not in fear of danger
(I know because
I went to the window to look),
gifting me spine-tingling joy
to the raw core
of my namaste-being,
in your beauty
and exuberance
and celebration
of life.

Deinbollia oblongifolia..Dune soap-berry

Another nature oriented/beautiful poem...Plants/Humans, and other animals..
You knew this would draw me in....:-)

"gifting me spine-tingling joy
to the raw core
of my namaste-being,"

Indeed those lines show the connection to all is real, if we let our pure emotions rule over the junk food noise that often surrounds us.

Come read to me some poem,
Some simple and heartfelt lay,
That shall soothe this restless feeling
And banish the thoughts of day.
Longfellow

Respect for all living creatures--yes, the oneness of all--and to see and write about the beauty in nature.

evocative and quite uplifting!

Thanks for sharing the moment!

Thank you, Ford.  Happy smiles, yes I did!  I am very good at blocking out those junk food noises elsewhere, but there aren’t any where I live – or very few and far between.  Yes, I know how blessed I am.  Smiles.

Thank you, Al.  I am glad you enjoyed it.

Wonderful moments of joyous awareness of all the beauty surrounding us.

Don't know the blue-headed lizards, but I adore all of them ... Again, if you don't mind, I'll go look for a picture of mine I took of a lizard basking in the sun on a tree trunk.

I found it:

Oh, Margherita, I love this, I love this, I LOVE THIS!  Please tell the little darling if you see one who may be the same one (even if he/she is not the same one), that his/her Auntie Di from South Africa adores him/her and thinks he/she is beeeyoootiful!

Superb photo, too, Margherita!  Thank you so much for this.

I am happy that you like it! I was fascinated when I took several pictures of him/her   from a certain distance zooming in ... and making no quick movements as they are so watchful of their surroundings and disappear in a split second if they feel threatened. I am sorry that in this picture the full length of the tail isn't there, but I love this one because it sure looks as if he/she was gazing at me ...     and yes from now on I will forever think of Auntie D in South Africa when I will see them again.

Phew!  So his/her tail is even longer than that!  Wow!  Yes, and please give Auntie Di's love to any other creatures you come across too, and of course, Zelda all the time!  I am sure this darling lizard was looking straight at you, knowing full well that his Auntie Margherita adored him/her and was adoring his/her Auntie Margherita back and I am sure that he/she knew that Auntie Margherita was going to put his/her photograph on Pip to be viewed and admired internationally, the precious little angel!
