Petalled Field Sometimes a writer's poem needs to grow from the seed of the first read and bask in the light of day out from behind the wall As the leaves carefully unfold and the identity is confirmed we can hear it gain strength and attest to its resiliance Then the reader's poem blossoms its rare flower brilliant and the colors begin their glow enlightening all who see Oh, to dance in such a petalled field where new buds open and the scent is sweet! An exquisite poem, Krawdad, the link of which I followed from Helen’s equally beautiful one. I enjoyed the unfolding of your poem and was mesmerised by the aspired for dance and the vision of the opening buds and the sweet, sweet scent. Owl |

Ah, beautifully said, Krawdad. When poetry inspires poetry it is wonderful to watch. A field I would like very much to lie down in. Michael |

I admire the write and concur with you totally on the first read usually isn't as enlightening as the second or third . . . Then, of course there are some, and I know this is true because I write them often, that gags a maggot. ~~ Those who are silent are the first to be shot. ~~ |
