Young Love

Summer vacation. Atlantic City, 1960. I was 16. I remember stopping for saltwater taffy--as evening journeyed slowly into night. Nearing curfew, we sat on a sandy enclave--holding hands, looking out at the ocean, not saying much. In the distance were flickering lights from an ocean liner as the night kept coming on in...

first kiss
under the boardwalk
over the moon!

So lovely, "over the moon" indeed! Unforgettable for sure.

I've never seen the boardwalk but I still can picture this perfectly!

Michael, Lori: Thank you so much for the read and generous comments. It was a romantic time--my first love--so innocent--no idea what was to follow

Good one.
I think I was there in '54 but still a bit too young for that. By '60 that could have happened.
