Fair to middlin' of nowhere

I have an elephant big and white
conspicuously hidden in plain sight
I don't dust it
I won't discuss it
Its not there
for all I care
It did a number on my head
and now the matter's dead
I hardly remember anyway
so there's nothing to say
Those days are gone
I've moved on
and graduated...
I take meds when agitated
and can pass for normal
when I'm hormonal
So there's no need
to make old wounds bleed
unless and until I'm sure
it will bring me closure

Wow, Lori, this is really powerful.

Don't we all have such elephants ...

Love,

I'm a great one for "looking back," and dealing with all the pain it dredges up. This venturing into the deep waters of hurt isn't for everyone. I quite understand your situation, without knowing, or needing to know, the particulars. Don't even think about dusting that elephant.

I've walked around many an elephant... but got tired of the patterns that wore in the carpet. *S* Now I'm more of a face it, deal with it type... and yet neither option is a cure. *S*

Closure, huh?  Interesting concept.  I have read this a couple of times now...  me thinks if you need a new elephant or two, I gots plenty over here you could have for free.

Truthfully this is very insightful  Nice to see the deeper side of you.

Powerful, in a quiet kind-a way.
Nice one, Lori.
