Only Just

I think the last time
I was through these parts
I was
the last snowflake
that had just
fallen.

I started an avalanche
that started
the thaw
and with it
I was washed down
the canyon,
toward
the sea.

Toward the,
see
of my beholding
seen,
above fathom.

I watched you
though
throughout
the spring and summer
as I waved at you
before I broke
onto the beach
over
and over
again.

You smiled
a few times
making the sun
blush even more,
giving everyone around
you
a deeper
hue
and warmth
to remember you
by.

I like it when you skip and jump
through the shallow
water
throwing waterfalls back up
into the sky
with your hands and legs
glistening
as liquid diamonds sparkle
while they drip
down your juicy
burnt orange
star kissed
skin.

I got you
wet,
one time
when a wave I was in
tapped you
from behind
as you were
bent over
picking up
a shell.

You closed your eyes
and smiled
as you gasped.

Listening to the conch
serenade you
in wind note grays
of memories
that keep trying
to be
but probably
never
will.

And now,
I am the first
leaf
that just fell
far away,
rolling over and over
looking,
for you
sometimes taking short
bursts
of flight
over fences
and logs
trying to make
its way
to be
near
once again.

And it is with
each
revolution
that
another page
turns
of season,
another page
of words
of tear stained
reason
that
still
don’t truly
define
what I wish,
I could
express
to you.

I need a whole new
dictionary,
for my letters
to you.

The words
in this one that I’ve had
are just
not
strong enough
or clear enough
for how I feel
when I think of
your hair
blowing
in the wind
across my face
as you look upon
me
with that
ever knowing
grin.

But then
it’s not easy
trying to define,
such an amazing
and complex
feeling
with one
word
like love.

I mean how do you
even begin
to interpret
a feeling that is
woven
throughout
the essence
of all
humanity.

I mean love,
is something you can be in,
or,
even out of.

Love,
is something
you can even make.

But it takes, two
very special people
to make it the wonder
it’s supposed
to be.

It’s a fire
within
that can keep your warm
and rosy
when you’re otherwise
without.

In the game of life
it’s the score of 100.

In the game of tennis
it’s the score
of 0.

You see what I mean?

It’s like a
hole
that you can fall into
and it can make you,
whole,
as well.

Sometimes love smolders
slow
over many years
in the hot spot
of a
wanting hearth
waiting for the right
sigh
to make it glow
and then burst
into fervor,
and luminosity.

Sometimes it
affects
you instantly, with
affection.

Sometimes you want
a little bit
less,
and sometimes
you want
amour.

Sometimes
you have a crush
on someone
so bad
you squeeze all the
possibility out of it.

Sometimes
you don’t hold on
tight enough
and it floats from
your arms
and lifts
away
across a lake
into the
night.

Sometimes
love
is up close
and personal.

Sometimes
love
is through emails
of emotion.

Love isn’t something
you actually
vote
on.

It’s actually more about
being,
devoted.

Sometimes in love
you here soft violins
played on strings
of soft
fidelities.

Love is a voyage
that starts on a
friendship
transferring later
to the deck
of a
courtship
guided by words on
the way we worship,
written to her
in perfect
penmanship.

Love packs lots of calories,
infatuation.

Fuel you will need
for all the,
flirtation.

Winka winka.

Love puts the,
us,
right in the middle of,
lust

Love puts the
thru
in the beginning of,
thrust

They say love isn’t love
unless there’s some
madness.

Along with some
sadness
that can turn into,
gladness.

Like, is love
without the, ov.

And you need the, of
between, love
and, my life.

Passion is something
you should never
pass on.

It is something you want
to always
come
to you

Compassion,
will
never
go
out of fashion.

I want to wrap you up in
rapture
but never,
make your heart,
feel captured.

I want to mesh my
wilderness
in the forest
of your
tenderness.

I want to put
my key
inside
and open,
your adore.

I want to be
the hurricane
that ravages,
your shore.

I want to be
the beau
that’s tightly wrapped
around your gift

I want to be the present
that it takes,
two hands,
to lift.

I want to put the
fond
back in the
fondle
of you tight.

I want to be
the last kiss
that your lips feel,
every night.

I want to be
the only
love
your tongue
will ever taste.

I want to be
the only smile
nightly
that you face.

I want to be
the only person
that you feel
within,
biting on my shoulder
when your eyes
begin to spin.

All I know
is that
without you
I’m forever
blue.

All I know
is I’m in wordlove
only just,
for you.

Wow, this is extremely well thought out and written.  It took a while to get through it, but it is more than worth the time to read.

"It’s a fire
within
that can keep your warm
and rosy
when you’re otherwise
without.

In the game of life
it’s the score of 100.

In the game of tennis
it’s the score
of 0."

Enjoyed.

Richy, I cannot pick out one part. Each stands alone and each is lovely. Oh, to have a letter with even one of those thoughts at ending. Good to see you writing again. You have been missed.jo

Now this was breathtaking, dear Richy. Reading your words is like embracing them, savoring them and dancing with them. They emit a high degree of love energy.

I continued to copy parts to quote, but then I always found new beads of brilliance of this incredibly rich necklace of words.

quote:
Sometimes love smolders
slow
over many years
in the hot spot
of a
wanting hearth
waiting for the right
sigh
to make it glow
and then burst
into fervor,
and luminosity.

and

quote:

I want to mesh my
wilderness
in the forest
of your
tenderness.

Absolutely delightful!

Every step of the journey through your words is a fascinating one!

Love packs lots of calories,

And how we love to gorge! *S*

You leave me drowning in your words!  However in a perfect world this would be my perfect day.
The offshore winds are heavenly and the sea breeze is a warm caress draped around my shoulders.

Wonderful feel to this good poet.

Absolutely beautiful, Richy~
Good Sunday morning to you.  xo

No one writes a love letter like you do.  No one uses the letters like you do.  No one sees love quite like you do.  This all makes you so special to me.

Lots of wonder words to pick through.

Only just this one that stood out....
*****************************************

But then
it’s not easy
trying to define,
such an amazing

feeling
with one
word

And sometimes simply the L word in itself, limits us to the jubilation felt in your
greater grasp of that feeling that really
can't be defined
Nice reading you
