How odd it is The whole 20th Century Seems so far away One can imagine Union soldiers Somewhat confused Asking for directions In 1962 The Tet Offensive And Battle of the Bulge Exchanging memories With Waterloo The sun and moon Have seen it all Each generation passing Into yesteryear And who is that In a long silk dress Now waiting for you Humming A waltz by Strauss In the evening air Her carriage and four On the cobbled road . |
