Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2011-09-02 10:01 AM

Looking at my whys
and not liking the lies
I believed for so long
Seeing where I went wrong
a little too after
any given disaster
Making sense of it now
doesn’t help somehow
Knowing how far a simple “no”
would have let me go
But my timid
kept it hid
behind yeses of glass
Letting it pass
in an intimidated cringe
without challenge
Don’t disrupt the peace
keep it within reach
Hold it in
again and again

I understand this, dear Lori. How often it happens! You said it so very well.

Love,

Sometimes we are our own worst enemy.

Dear Lori-I know exactly how this feels.  Your poem really moved me.  Great poem, my friend.

There must be a poem in here somewhere.

Hold it in
again and again

It hurts just to think of it... and it never makes sense.

And the glass...
so very fragile indeed!

Nice write!
I must agree with JerryPat2.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
