Mythology. That is where the word myth comes from. I never could understand the hype. "I just thought this was a fascinating thought on the tail" I've never heard that expression. Can you expound a bit on this? Nice write. JL |

In the poem Medusa peers at herself in the mirror. I just was curious of her thoughts. Keep in mind that it was Perseus who slayed her. Her story is a tragedy and also brings parallel with today with bullying. Juju -Juju |

An intriguing concept. Made me wonder why she doesn't fall down dead? Perhaps such women are impervious to their own power? (I'll go test the theory.) *giggles and winks* Enjoyed. |

Love it! And if I remember correctly, one had to look AT Medusa - her reflection would not kill, so she could look at herself in a mirror. Right? j. |

Her I believe that from the story the mirror was used to avoid looking at her directly. However when I was writing the poem I made the assumption that her reflection wouldn't kill her. -Juju |

Hmm. The poem and comments which followed brought to mind an old vid I had of a Joe Campbell lecture, which contemplated the villification of women as a result of thier mirroring the men who described them... veddy interesting indeed. You're a true beauty, inside and out. I would think that terrifies a lesser sort. |
