I used to practice medicine
in Podunk ,USA
The people there were pretty much
a bunch of clods I'd say

My waiting room was always full
and business was quite good
But, every patient needed me
to pull out bits of wood

And their incessant whining just
'bout drove me up a wall
If you think you've heard this before
just stop here, it's your call.

But, if for some strange reason, you
find puns are what you're pining
You'll know I left my practice 'cause
ev'ry clod has a sliver whining.

For me, being from Texas, there is only one Moose, and having made a 13 month trip to the RSV there is only one "DOC" I would be hard pressed to call you either.  However, your humor and whit surpasses even those held so high in my memories.  So, humbly I ask your permission to call you "Number One..."

Margherita,
Thanks, I really have been having a lot of fun with these lately. To me they are like a really intricate word puzzle that has to be pieced together just right in order to work. If some folks get a chuckle out of them , so much the better.
Doc

JL,
Lol, thanks. You can call me anything you'd like. I don't stand on formality by any means and Lord knows I've been called a lot
of different things, lol. I'm glad you're enjoying my little attempts at humor. I've been a long time polishing up my act and I'm sure not in it for the money, so a laugh here and there is good as gold.
Doc

Lori,
Dare I say you're quite the glutton for punishment?
Sorry, that just slipped out, lol. You really shouldn't encourage me.

Doc,

I don't know how you come up with these (not sure I want to know either), but what I do know is you never fail to make me laugh.  That is just one more of your talents.

Thank you again.

Alison,
Lol, thank you, if I had to take a guess I'd say my brian is wired differently from most peoples ,or short circuited, depending on who you ask, lol.
