Unconditional Your unrestricted heart, no word otherwise to explain. Simply arrested by your kindness and sweet passion – an intricate distinction from normal savvy with any others’ words so plain. But your knowledge is in your heart and soul, and easily mosaic in your writings so inviting, so enticing… You summon eyes to pierce into your words and you delight as they are ensnared in your gentle confinement. So at liberty you render expressive treasure… I have weaved in and out of your verses and have floundered in-between the lines… I have spent countless moments behind the words examining each letter inside out and back again – finding a personality of truest compassion. To be captive by your idiom is imprisonment of heart aflame. Unrestricted, no word otherwise to explain. Cleanly, precious, unconditional… * |

quote: Beautiful declaration, dear JL! "Unconditional" is a precious attribute to attain in our human relationships. If you have found such a soul, you have found a treasure! Very nice. Love, Margherita |

WoW! As I read this captivating poem, JL, I actually began to think the words were meant for me. I had to shake myself out of those thoughts, and concentrate. And I agree with Margherita, "if you have found such a soul, you have found a treasure." Where in Texas? ~ Man who stands on toilet is high on pot. ~ |

Very nicely expressed, my friend...I particularly liked this part... "I have weaved in and out of your verses and have floundered in-between the lines…" Wonderful lines... j. |

I love the entire poem... but find these lines particularly enchanting. You have found a treasure... and the one you have found is a very lucky individual! |

JL, your poem is as exquisite as the person who inspired your poem. And the title of your poem is superb in its simplicity and its all-encompassment of everything of moral value. Whether love or forgiveness or understanding or compassion or mercy or any other such offering, the one word that expresses the ultimate of any of these gifts that one can give another, is that it is unconditional. Bravo! Well done! You have said so very much in very few words. You have reached and expressed the heart of all goodness. Owl |

Ah, JL, this is headed for my library. One of my favored words of all time is "unconditional". For me that word means that one might be close to what they cherish without ties, or bonds of any kind, because they WANT to be where they are. And then there are all of the levels of life that can revolve around that very word, from cradle to grave. Oh yes, my wonderful poet, this is a marvelous poem, and rests now, with a soft spotlight, in my little corner of the Blue Library. "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |
