Anthi Mandhaarai

Fine sparkling tiny diamond like droplets,
Dripping, smiling, reflecting on window pane,
Fragile they seem, to the mighty power of gravity,
So does the flowing time across the days of rain,

Gently crawling snail on my damp stairs giggle,
Fresh blade of green sports more courage than me,
Ruby blood red petals, petals of the rose wait eagerly,
So does the pollen carrier in rain on a fruit tree,

Anthi Mandhaarai blooms whistling your fragrance,
Sweet smelling warm golden glowing ray of light,
Evenings still wait longing for the chirping of love birds,
So does my inner world which is black and white.

Dear Prasad, it is difficult to believe that your inner world is black and white, when you offer us this breathtakingly beautiful, multicolored piece of poetry.

I had to search for Anthi Mandhaarai and here there is one (there are different colors) for all to enjoy:

Thank you for this exceptional read.

Love,
Margherita

We call them four o'clocks... and the ones next to my Dad's doorsteps scent the early evenings. They're beautiful... and so is your poem!

I can quite understand that, although you can see beauty around you in various colors and hues, that you can be locked into a black and white world, that only poetry can give you escape from.

Prasad, my friend,

Margherita always flings herself into the best of poetry by adding something, like a meaningful photo, and that only always adds to a poet's gift. She is special in that way.

But your specialness comes across by seeing what others only glimpse, let alone take time to take in, breath in, find comfort in, if only for the briefest of moments.

If I may, you and Margherita should perform a duet. It's been a long while since we've seen a good one - and the two of you could make Magick!

Beautiful work, my friend.

For someone who is black and white inside, you describe the colours of nature here very well...

Thank you for the words ...

Goldenrose.
