I sit alone Smoking a pipe On my balcony It is night The stars are out Crickets are chirping In the summer weeds Across the road Someone is taking An evening stroll I can see him followed By his shadow Beneath a silver moon Fireflies briefly glow And then disappear Sparrows slumber Under wooden eaves Your absence Makes you beautiful I really love being alive . |

Recognition of such beauty, nostalgia, contentment and exquisite tranquillity is the reward of those who seek these gifts, notice, appreciate, savour and share them.
