GLASS MOMENTS FRAGILE
12 August 2011

Like little glass animals,
delicately dreamed
with deep understanding
of the pure that they are
without and within,
alive when the sunlight
paints secret almost-colours
on their graceful curves,
moments are to be soft-remembered
and long-honoured
and touch-revered
in backward smiles
and perhaps-tears
and ever-joy.

Lovely feel to this, like a chennile blanket all soft to the touch.

Great metaphor Owl.

As a child I had a large collection of glass animals. Unfortunately on a move the box they were stored in got lost.

Again, great metaphor.

Peace and Love,
Marcia

Thanks eg.

Thanks, Blues.  Glad you felt it like that.  Smiles.

Thanks, Suncleaver, for your kind words.

Thanks, Margherita, for enjoying it.

Thanks, Marcia.  How awful that you lost that box!  You must have been heartbroken – I would have been too.

Diana,

I was recently the blessed recipient
of a gift much like you've described
without the animal quotient involved.

But the life that the light brings
within the treasure received, and
the reasons behind the gift, are as
far reaching as a dove's wings to
love.

This is beautiful!

alive when the sunlight
paints secret almost-colours
on their graceful curves,

I love the poem... especially these lines. You honor the moments, my friend... beautiful work!
