there is a place like the afternoon and dawn
where we can listen to the voices of the warm
and your eyes have that moisture at their edges
not tears or laughter, but both tears and laughter

you wear that gown that you say is a jesus color
how pure a blue it is when your pale is near
to have a heavenly effect along the edges
but then I would sin if I spend thoughts there

you are serpentine in your recline, as horizons
that meet the eye on dawn brim mornings
and your belly is subtle in it's vulnerability
as the scent of myrrh brings your lips a smile

my finger is a diamond in reflection hovering
above your navel pool that waits to worship
as the heat of your sensuality warms my digit
not touching, but a voyeur above in shimmer cape

elongation of liquid, it is a ceremony in time
as a single droplet is seduced to your hollow
to free fall into orbit more slowly than love
and your skin responds with its taut applause

as in the distance heartbeats quicken their strum

This is a masterpiece, dear D.! Good that to write a comment I need not necessarily to breathe ...
will read this again, as it is magnetic.

It is poetry such as this that makes me want to wrap myself up in it and dream awhile.

  Ya move me dude! *sigh*

You put more romance into seduction...
hmmmm...

okay, my thoughts were side-wiped...

ahem...

thank goodness there aren't ten of you
on the board...

we women would never get anything done.

I really love the first verse... the soft and sensitive before the sensual. *S*

Beautiful, worshipful, such passion and respect in this poem. So tenderly handled...I love this one, Dark.
