Outside The summer sun Is blazing The dry air Is full of dust The smells of sweat And things that animals Seem to do all the time Here in this hall alone After all the others have gone Moving a tune Let’s dance in silence Upon the wooden floor I’ll hold you just far enough Apart to look into your eyes See there all that brought me here A young man full of dreams And we’ll while an hour Together as if in love In that starlit world Under a silver moon . |
