I don't have enough pieces of my heart,

left, to weep for you today,

so many things have allready come

and taken pieces away.

Two taken by my children,

confused and lost at night.

One taken by someone who's trying

so hard to do whats right.

Another taken by one who fights,

to make it her own way.

One who tries not to become attached,

but doesn't want me to go away.

A boy who wants so badly to be

a man within my eyes,

little does he know, he allready is,

just because he tries.

Another taken by an old friend

who finally passed away,

never again will we sit together,

talk, venture, or play.

Then there has been a few pieces

that shrivelled, full of decay.

For sorrow has been a constant companion,

that hinders me that way.

So ask me not to shed a tear

or hold your hand for this,

for I have nothing left to give,

just things I love and miss...
