Poets all, I think it's time To put poetic thoughts to rhyme. Show us the world seen through YOUR view And let us learn some things of YOU. Three times throughout the 12 years of existence of this house that Ron built, we have constructed community poems, poems from our members describing where they live or what they see when they look out their windows in the mornings. We have had quite a few new members since the last one and we invite them all (and old members who have never participated) to join in and share your surroundings with us. Dixie, people simply write something of their hometowns, sort of like giving a small snapshot of one's surroundings. We have members from all over the world and it can be, and has been, very interesting to learn of their surroundings. The times we have done it have been enjoyable and informative. I didn't set a deadline because I figured I'd carry it on as long as people showed interest. I doubt there will be many others, though, since I have received some entries from older members and almost nothing from the newer ones so it will not go on much longer. August 18th sounds like a good deadline |

What's your absolute, non-refundable, no holds barred deadline? My "part time" job is now 40 hours a week ... in four days. AND I've submitted two stories to the next quarterly magazine run. AND...I'm thinking of gearing my "adopted" community poem around where I now sit my wheels four days out of the week. I await your reply, guy! |
