. Drawn back in a ponytail There are more than a few Strands of hair that insist upon Their freedom around your brow I have found as well there are A few things I cannot change However hard I may try And I have tried more than You will ever know A summer breeze cools us As we walk along the shore Seagulls gyre in a deep blue sky Above the bay It seems I have no choice But to spend my days Always loving you There’s nothing else to say . |

A sad, but exquisite painting that lingers long in the mind's eye. What a beautiful name she has too, Russian, I am almost certain. Russian is a language that fascinates me with its vibrant music and an alphabet that has some letters similar to those of Attic Greek with which I was passionately in love when I was studying it, but which I have long since forgotten (well, most of it), to my dismay. Would love to make the time, to study it again - but I am rambling - but it is your poem that led me down paths of long ago. Owl |

It seems I have no choice But to spend my days Always loving you There’s nothing else to say Returned or not, some loves stay with us and define us. And I have tried more than You will ever know Having tried too long without success, this goes straight to my heart. Beautiful work! |
