Miss Pretty Flamingo

She could dance better
than most of the others
but that wasn't what
was so unusual.
I was nowhere near to
John Travolta in looks
nor dancing skills,
so it was a mystery
to everyone,
including myself
why she picked me.
Life is what it is
and in this particular
moment in time
I took full advantage
of my chance
to share a kiss
and a dance,
spend evenings
of romance with
Miss Pretty
Flamingo.
