Their tonal qualities arranged the words are made to sing The stasis of the page denied for they have taken wing More than a flight of fancy this, a symphony of sound Surreal in it's magnitude an orchestration found beyond the confines of the lines, unlimited in scope An opus born of innocence, impassioned, full of hope As synergy of notes suspend all disbelief that words Until they have been vocalized are seen but never heard. |

Yep. She can't help but be mesmerized by your beautifully constructed words. I really did like them myself. This grabbed me . . . "More than a flight of fancy this, a symphony of sound Surreal in it's magnitude an orchestration found" ~ Eggs and bacon, honeymoon style / What's honeymoon style? / Straight up and hard. ~ |

Lori, Thanks so much "felt like silk" definately what I was going for in an audible way. Doc JerryPat, My thanks to you also. This is not my usual fare these days as I would rather spread some laughs around, however, this seemed a more appropriate response to the honor recently bestowed on me by Ms. Sunshine. Doc Marcia, Many thanks to you, I am familiar with some of your posts as well as your website, all very fine indeed. In fact, I've been considering an additional venue for posting some work if possible. Doc |

Oh Doc.... Wow. What could one say to such a silky song such as this? I am beyond words, but wait...I hear a whisper... I don't think I've ever had a song written for me. I've had some sang to me, yes, but an Opus 1? Now I'm smiling, because when one numbers an Opus, it means that more might come along in time. Now I'm chuckling, because I sense that your time is very precious indeed, as you are only here when the moon is in the right frame of your soul. So I'm blathering. Suns blather by sending out firestorms that can stop electrical waves here on earth, but you know that. Now that I've read this, you've germinated yet another poem for such poets like yourself. Since I'm "off" work for the weekend, [even though I'll be at a writer's seminar in Lawrence on Saturday and have an issue article to work on] I feel the poem growing, thanks to you. By the way, this is my long way of saying For thinking of me Amidst all of your Jocularity Amidst the form Of my poetry, Bless you, Sir, Of writing for me. Hugs, friend. "The business of the poet...is to show the sorriness underlying the grandest things and the grandeur underlying the sorriest things." Thomas Hardy |

Alison, Thank you m'dear. As a fellow student of the craft, I'm sure you're familiar with the "flow". Sometimes it just rolls, it may not be good, but the words just come tumbling out, they will find their way. Doc |

Sunshine, Yanno, I re-read it myself and it still slides right off the tongue with the alliteration. Thanks gal. Doc Michael, Thanks, I've probably been at this now for roughly 17 years, the tools are there, I just have to put them to use once in a while, lol. Ah, Martie, thanks, so are you, I've tried to borrow your paintbrush on more than one occasion, but that one's custom made for your hand only. Be well m'friend. Doc |
