I Would Eat Worms |

Once again the darkness found me ungrateful to my foundations. Drunk in my luxurious apartment. His nightly calls made him my only remaining friend. He arrived like clock work. To silently check on me. "Good friend Darkness! What shall we watch on TV?" I poured us both another drink. As if I needed more and as if he would drink his. "Look! Tonight it is Indians from Brazil! They are so poor they are naked!" I scoffed. Dirt was their only clothing. We watched amused as they found a rotten log floating in the river full of large worms and ate them. Together the whole family danced and laughed and loved My lonely heart filled with envy. Darkness stared so pitifully at me. |

Yes! "My lonely heart filled with envy." To a person who is not happy they would be envious of anyone, no matter their station in life if they were happy. Excellent work. ~ Husbands are chiefly good lovers when they are betraying their wives.--Marilyn Monroe ~ |

You have some fine images in this piece. Thank you for sharing with us. I have composting worms, love them. They are fun to watch --- and might be considered tasty. I don't know. Alison |

Thank you both. I think I would just stick with watching the worms. Lol. |
