Together we smile At small gray squirrels Acorns are falling From the trees We watch Some of them land In the water by the bank No doubt the fish don’t take Kindly to such an incoming Barrage It been awhile Things have changed The paths are paved There are amenities That were not here When we were young You know that time When all you had to do Was call my name And whole world focusing Rushed to help me Be at your side . |
