there was some distant highway in her eyes that depth that makes one leery not curious maybe she had on too much dangerous before and still carried some of the poisons residue she asked for a light for her broke off camel said she ran out of gas on the off ramp and that a friend was coming to help her that she danced at the rhino next shift and did other things out back sometimes if they had a nice car or truck with room said she loved the new car smells best of all like the lease ones that the managers drive but they can never manage to keep it up long once she begins her hoarse whisper sound says it is the vibration in her belly where a demon lives most nights and evenings and she knew jesus once, but he didn't own a car __________________ daark (highway series) [This message has been edited by Dark Stranger (06-10-2011 06:39 AM).] |

sometimes I wonder when I see a comment-less write and wonder if (like me) others find a particular write too outside of our comfort range even to leave a comment...this is certainly edgy (even for you)  ...there is an air of quiet despair and even a trend of hopeless destitution in it. It is a 'thank goodness, I stopped to read this provocative' kind of write...you never cease to amaze me with the depth of your edginess |

steavenr..thanks guy, I meet a lot of people along the highway, some of them have a story that leaves me filled to the brim with emptyness...so it weeps out here. |
