When You Wake Unto the Day When you wake unto the day I hope, it’s warm and bright Hope it takes away the chill That, creeps in through the night. If I could reach out to the Sun I’d hold it, right over you To turn off those feelings When, you’re feeling blue. I’d do it for everyone If, it were in my power Nobody else, would have the blues To sweet, that taste of sour. But alas, all I can do Is, to try to keep on going But, I couldn’t, bid, “Adieu!” Without all of you, knowing! 05.19.2011 Del "Abe" Jones Mankind's greatest accomplishment is not the revolution of technology, it is the evolution of creativity. copyright 1984 More poet [This message has been edited by Abe (05-19-2011 08:45 PM).] |
