I found love letters I had written some fifteen years ago when I was madly in love with my ex-husband And joyously pregnant How foolish those words sounded now that I know what I wouldn't see then I had long since forgotten I'd ever felt that way Was that way So far away from today those words seem wasted Though well I know they rang true to that heart then and the holes it came with And my heart now near to lace dares yet love again Where my words ring true but I will not be wasting them with you LGR(C)5/19/20 |

Love causes much clouding of some distasteful facts, Lori, I know you know that now. I'm not even sure you "wasted" those words and feelings back then, because at the time, they were true even if he wasn't. ~ Plastic surgeons are always making mountains out of molehills. ~ |

Very nice and intriguing, dear Lori. I think it is very difficult to destroy love letters even if the feelings for those they were addressed to have changed. Because just as you say they were true in that time. True and precious and not at all wasted, no. It's so good that your heart has been able to love again (it always heals) and to write and to say love words again. If you judge them "wasted" a priori, then they obviously are not true. Your heart knows and will not mislead you. Love and joy. Margherita |
