perhaps the bubble wrap musicals of autumn under waffle house soles leaving behind tea leaves in jigsaw or wood pecker carpenters building cathedrals pecking through the fir fur sundown then moving into hollow hearts to worship or adolescent winds, barely breezes now from just up the road window where they left to cello a hanging sign into swing sounds and tiptoe coffee in her long shirt gown making sure she is there before yes please can make this smile have any other uses than just to be her rocking chair shivaree ____________ daark |

I once read in the N.Y. Times book review section,a critic say that romantic poetry did not have a place in the modern era, as a critical cut against a poem he was doing a critique on. He should have read this one, he might have thought differently. |
