Warm Upon Twilight I have eluded time, slipping my hand into the wound Quietly these thoughts unraveled, spill at will My breath still warm upon twilight In vapors mount the steed of swift recall Where you are still the music on a sigh’s footfall Here, upon my knees, as tenderness remembers me I have come to speak my heart until love runs as clear as rain Still wet, comes rivulet of crimson in the night again Though I will not deny my heart its say, nor turn away The pouring out of perfect pride, and covenants still lasting For this, is of the blushing stain that beats within my vein That I remember what I found of feeling, in depth and breadth As if my silence would or could forestall the flood or course Nor would I want the fog of forget to mend the wound You are the spring that awakens in me, rooted deep in dream Whispering the night sounds of my soul, and calling me back To here~ Copyright Kkh 4/23/11 |

Pain poured into an exquisite lovesong, TD, in your inimitable excellent style – poetry at its shimmering best! You have surpassed yourself – an almost impossible task for somebody of your talent. It's good to read you again. Owl |

quote: Your amazing words vibrate with sacredness. I just imagined the stunned silence of a public audience if this poem was read aloud to them ... every heart would beat quicker and eyes would fill with tears. It is a gift to find you in here, dear TD! Love, Margherita |

there are so many lovely constructs in this (of course...no surprise there) but of all those gems, this is my favorite: "In vapors mount the steed of swift recall Where you are still the music on a sigh’s footfall" ...so good to read you once again |

You are the spring that awakens in me, rooted deep in dream ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love that line. It's been a long time TD, as always your poetry moves me in such a beautiful way. You choice of words leave me breathless, and your sentiment goes straight to my heart.
