Time drags its feet towards the hour but patient is the love in me that sits beneath a willow tree united with its silent weep. And how it sweeps across the land as if my presence disavowed but should I cease to wait and weep what of that silent Willow tree? Will it stand up with righteousness, be puffed up with morality, or will it bend with sweep and weep lonely for the love in me? To loneliness, my friend, indeed ‘tis so before the hour is struck and all who thought to wait and weep have left for pasture new ~ or perhaps upon a cloud they'll float lonely too without you. Clouds or trees; should I believe it matters where I choose to be until, until, time finally settles on the hour? Helen / 25 April 2011 |

It matters, it matters, dear Helen, where you choose to be ... I love the vision of you under the willow tree, which is in symbiosis with your sadness and loneliness. The tree doesn't change place, it's content of the spot assigned to it and to share it with you whenever you feel like it. Its branches softly swaying around you, wrapping you in their lavish embrace. Ahhh, loneliness vanishes ... the tree is alive, the clouds offer a grandiose playground, they form and dissolve in a continuous spectacular circle of being ... behold the beauty and live. Got carried away Beautiful work, dear Helen, as always. Love, Margherita |

You pose age-old question, i.e., does it really matter where we choose to rest our thoughts and bodies. Sometimes I think not. Beautifully rendered poetry, as per always, Helen. ~ A lion will not cheat on his wife, but a Tiger Wood. ~ |

Dear Margherita - I have no objection to you getting carried away - poetry in motion cannot be stopped. Lovely - thank you! Thanks, Charly. I certainly do appreciate a read from you. Jerry - Thanks and, yes, I also sometimes think it doesn't matter because more than once when I've been sure of where I will "rest my thoughts and body" I suddenly find myself in another place. Who is pulling the strings? Helen |

Mr Dark - Good for you! I once planned out many things when the moon was shining, oh, just so but the moon enlarged then it shrunk and so I skipped the part that was to be and ended up ... another "me". Have you ever read "The Dice Man"? I reckon someone up there is a believer in the game of chance - at my expense no less! Thank you so much for the read. Helen |

loved this delightful write, and found this stanza quite beautiful: "Will it stand up with righteousness, be puffed up with morality, or will it bend with sweep and weep lonely for the love in me?" ...classic introspection...nicely done |

Helen I think this entire poem is perfection. I am sitting here totally immersed in your writing and the way you expressed yourself. I love this one, my friend. xoxoox A |
