They were just two figures A few millimeters before the ledge of the roof They were just two of the same Talking about the pains and vindications That came from the days of sandboxes and sand castles To the years of braces and having your heart skip a beat When you saw someone pass in the hallway. They were simply reminiscing Of the years that came and gone But they were in the Ôhere and nowÕ The present for all to see For they were just two figures Conversing the universal language The one that lets the bodies speak With such candor That the holes of the streets Wept with such weep They filled themselves Until the sun rose They were just a connection of the spirit Of the constitution between two people Letting their hearts skip beats Like the twin peaks That overshadowed the cities landscape Then as dawn came They stared, The simplest of stares, Where their eyes were so wide The captions of the sky Withdrew their faces for Just one second So they could be by themselves. |
