. Oh I can tell you’re proud And I’m certainly glad You’ve kept your looks But to be honest The both of us are of an age That should be thankful That someone for reasons Other than keeping out The cold invented clothes So here we are Again on the edge Of a brave new world Deciding what together If anything we should do Restaurants and movies Let the restaurants fail The movies run down What do they Have to do with us Who have lived real lives That are now in their last Good years Yet there you stand In your slim blue jeans Intent on pretending We’re still thirteen Well perhaps my dear On reconsidering This wasn’t Such a good idea After all .
