mine was just a table for one intentional
close to the window by the bar
but still enough dignify to qualify
as fine dining in the rain pool reflections

you were with your three piece mystery again
like a decoration that didn't quite fit
and I remember your looking back at me anyway
like I was the pimp and you were just escorting

that wish it was the other way look was mutual
as we exchanged do you dance to this glances
and finally seemed eye to eye on our differences
as we fit our things together secretly in public

you whispered about being alone somewhere else
like you usually were with him after dinner
and what would I think of your lady ways
if they were a bit more intentionally woman

and my arms were your favorite place in town

This is absolutely gorgeous writing. If I could get drunk off poetry, yours would be the finest wine.
favorite line: "and my arms were your favorite place in town"
simply brilliant.

"Glance dancing" as you present it, dear D., exercises an irresistible attraction ...

Thank you for another gem. These gems are meant to form a very refined Poetry book series, don't make us wait for too long!

Your words transmit that special feeling of being near to the ... favorite place in town!

Love,
Margherita

"...rain pool reflections"

Somehow, they always shimmer with slight distortions of image, so one has to look again to make sure she got it right, especially when there are mirrors and smoke.
