Ralph & Lucille

Hard liquor
and sexy women,
watch out for
that combination.
Its been know
to get a
few good men
into bad situations.
Take Ralph
for example,
one night
he got drunk
and totaled
out his car
and his wife
found a business
card in his pocket,
the card of a man
he had socialized with
in the bar the evening before,
so she called him up
and he proceeded to reveal
how Ralph carried on in the bar
with a woman named Lucille;
seems like Lucille was
giving kissing lessons
and Ralph was eagerly accepting.
The word is that Ralph offered
Lucille a ride home,
seems that Lucille didn't
want to be alone, trouble is
neither Ralph nor Lucille
made it home.
Well at least they
didn't die alone.

James,

Another lesson that could be learned from the story.

Don't drink and drive.

This is a good write.

James - a great tale, yet I'm sure so true for many...

Dear James you have painted a picture that
has taken place so many times in so many

places. Sad to say I'm afraid it is something that will never change.
I enjoyed your post.

How sad for Ralph's wife - her husband finally learning to kiss and she can't reap the benefits.

Damn - that truly sucks.

What a sad, yet considering story. Never drink and drive, never go out and cheat on the wife. Nice poem.
