As mountains light up golden in the glow Of everlasting afternoons of sun, As native people knew so long ago That they and this enchanted land were one, So I know of this place I call my home, Where warm winds carry constant seeds of change, And unexpected inspiration grows In every individual of the age. For those who come to this enlightened state And let eternal summer sink inside, No hope or dream can ever come too late, No worthy goal too lofty to be tried. In even sunset's brilliant slanted beams Is California cast a land of dreams. |

Beautiful write. California is my birth state, and where I lived most my life until the late 90's. I miss the magic of sitting at sunset on the beach. |
