![]() Dusk; and in the west, the sun sinks softly, in a saffron sky; to smile down on The New World; and I wonder where you are tonight. So far away... quite out of reach; I gaze into the paling light and hope that, out there, you still think of me... and then, I sigh. A love affair divorced by space and time; a plaintive lullaby of hope... of dreams of what might be; if we were not so far apart. of sweeter days we borrowed, bound in fragile dreams spun by the heart; I still believe that we can have our own forever... and then, I sigh. I gaze up; and above me... forging west, across a mulberry sky; a golden slash that fades through pink, to darken to a misty rose. A Boeing bound away out to The New World?... probably; who knows? Perhaps, quite close to where you are tonight... and then I sigh. We didn't see the hidden thorns our perfect rose held in deny; These thorns that waited silently to pierce the soft touch of our love. And yet, I keep the flickering flame alive; although the skies above have darkened now; like hopes I held today... and so... I sigh. |

This was a cool write. The photograph matched the theme perfectly. It's always fun to look up and see the planes overhead and ask where you might be going if you could be on one. I hope you find your lost love. Well done. |

My sky was beautiful this evening, dusty rose, with soft hues of pinks, and baby blues, with a hit of purple.... just a lovely sky, I was looking at it around 8:00 to 8:30pm, my time... Your emotional longings were felt strong through these pages.... ~ARH |
