Letting go is harder than it seems
Despair a crushing burden to be borne
A wound reopened each night in my dreams
Leaving me each morning more forlorn

Will this struggle haunt me all my life?
So many times I thought that I'd moved on
Then Sorrow twists its ever-present knife
The outcome of this struggle is forgone

Be that as it may,I'll persevere
Praying someday I can let you go
And break the chains that bind me to this fear
But is that what you'd want? I'll never know...
