Come back , sweet moments, please come back Allow me one more chance To turn your fragile rhythmic beat Into a spinning dance No, no replied the passing wind There is no sense to grieve What you once scattered in my gusts You never will retrieve Look up declared the burning sun At all this piercing light The brilliance that your heart once owned Was captured by the night Look not to us, replied the stars We’re just illusion’s pawn We all reflect the fiery sun And disappear at dawn Let me please interrupt, said time For my own self I speak The stars and sun and wind are all Magnificent, but meek For they exist eternally But to your life on earth My memories are to your heart Of such a greater worth Dear child of life, I am a gift That to no man is owed My moments of more worth than gold But only once bestowed ELizabeth Santos |

Is there any wonder why you are the queen? Fantastic poem, Liz, and so very true. In the end the memories and feelings they retrieve are everything. Spend your life making memories and you will be rich in later years.. Hope your holidays are wonderful, my friend  |

This is so true, and it is hard sometimes to practice what we preach, but it is sure worth the effort. Now this is a favorite of mine for sure. |
