To span the great divide between us Lay the bridge of commonality. Find the semblance of shared desire And expose in it our two fold love This is the sweetness of sameness For the joy of joined goals Is best when all people Feel the heat of one dream And together lift it on high Entertaining an insight of new found purpose As one mind and one heart Girded then with the armor of this unity Our swords will do no harm But will instead cauterize the wounds of our divisions The shield of new found wisdom throttles The stones and arrows of guile and pretense And together we will see them fall to the earth Not as instruments of war any longer, But instead As lessons to be learned From the dissonant shadows of our past, Now rendered harmless through tolerance Without hatred Without disdain But with kindness And a new found understanding And by this road we must travel ever onward Into the future of a shared vision and Thus casting the seeds of doubt aside The grapes of wrath will wither and die In the light of our better natures For there is no place for anger When all are equally loved And no place for regret When forgiveness is realized As the sacred dream |

Thank You Margherita, you are too kind. It is always rewarding when someone else appreciates not only the work but the message therein. |
