Drifting Log A little afloat above the deep blue, Wet, soaked, flowing down without a clue, Dry leaf, a twig, few ripples, few cracks, Aloof on the stream, detached by the axe. Eight legged does the bungee jumping, Silky invisible thread set my heart pumping, Tiny red warrior marches on the roof, No mates, no queen, all alone what a goof? Grey, brown, white pebbles crash, Bubbles burst in the air as they clash, Cocooned itself hiding from the light, Fly on the bark, all day and night. Drifting along from one shore to another, Neither sinking, neither floating, rather- Pushed and pulled even by the fragile wind, The wooden log besides the stream I find. ©Prasad.N December 15th 2009 All rights reserved to Prasad.N "Hardwork pays in the long run" |
