Written We've known each other Maybe our whole life All he wanted Was to make me his wife But let's back up Let's tell the whole thing Long before He bought me that ring There was someone else Who got in between He didn't play fair He didn't play clean He caused so much war Suffering and Pain What did he have Have to gain Through all the times Good and bad We always came back To what we had We never let him Keep us apart For true love we had We had in our heart But then the time came For him to kneel Could this be happening Could this be real He set him up To be out of this place He took those pictures You could not replace I woke up I knew it was done I looked out I saw the sun He tried and he tried To keep me so close But I withdrew Nobody knows I felt I should tell him As time went by I drove that long drive I would soon see him die As I walked in That room of sorrow He had those pictures Laying right there In a pool of his blood This was no fair He was misled To believe what he saw I was given That poison to drink To let him see To make him think My clothes were ripped off My body in place The things he now knew He could never erase He didn't even give me A chance to explain Instead he stopped feeling All of his pain I picked up that letter There on that floor He told me he loved me But said no more Attached to that letter Was that ring And all the joy It could never now bring I walk in the clouds, I sing in the dust |

Again, great write! It brought a heaviness on my heart, deeply sad content. I wish more people would read and comment on your work, it is really wonderful. |
