I dare not admit
I was not prepared
for you stepping out
choosing for the both of us

I dare not explain
how angry I am
for understanding everybody else
but me

I dare not say
that I am mourning you
for you are alive
it’s me in the coffin

I dare not confess
how hard it is
having to make peace
with your absence

for the heart
is not yet in sync
with the decision of the mind
and every time you wish me well
I dare not tell I dare not tell

But thank goodness you "dare" to write! You managed to spill your thoughts and feelings very well.
May this new year bring you love and inner peace.

I like the way it makes you think of how when a relationship is ended with someone leaving its how you are really feeling

Your poems are full of emotions which makes them so touching
