Alone With You My eyes close When it begins. This old black and white film, This worn cornered shoe box Of memories. My lips move in the dark, To some old song. My shoes move in One more slow dance With you This squeaky chair Holds me like a mother. It floods And fills The void While I Remember. |

I very much enjoyed this! Truly touching... I think just about anyone can read this and instantly connect with it, thry're own 'someone' pops into their head, and the words become their own. It takes a great talent to be able to put into words what most of us are thinking. Nicely done. |

First of all, welcome to Passions, and I hope you will enjoy it here as much as some of long time members do. I sure identified with your delightful first post. There is nothing like sitting with a bunch of memories in a box that is for sure. |

That happens lots. To all of us, I think. At least to me. Here's to remembering, Paul Fall in love early, fall in love often. |

I put myself in that Rockwellian setting and I was flooded with my own nostalgic thoughts. A lovely, reflective moment! Thank you! Giving you a warm, welcoming pip hug, Earth Angel www.lindadowd.com |

I have boxes of old photos that I keep thinking I will organize for posterity. Every time I get close to them, I experience the flooding, too. This is a beautifully emotive write, and someday, I hope someone will remember me, with an old love song on their lips and a dance held in his heart. Karen |
