Cupid's Tattoo Cupid dipped an arrow In the blue sky above Took green from the forest Mixed in a lot of love. The pure white of the clouds The brightness of the sun All the colors of the rainbow Were used 'fore he was done. He's the greatest artist The world has ever known It's art that can't be seen But always can be shown. There are paintings of dreams That, someday will come true Some indelible scenes Of those days I spent with you. It didn't hurt at all When the lines were etched there They were put on to stay To show I’ll always care. Although you can't see it It's always spelled the same That writing on my heart Spells out your lovely name. There are tattoos upon my heart That show love in all its' glory But they only tell a small part Of a long and happy story. I, too, love this poem. Your heart's tattoo shows to all who care to take the time to see it. A |
