I’m not a woman in love stroking the edge of desire and feeling the folds of passion unwrap at the merest touch. I’m simply a woman, an ordinary one, possessed by the spirit of love and that possession not evil or mean but a millstone around my neck. So where is the axe, the hammer, chisel, to break it down bit by bit? They’re hidden, you see, by the spirit in a place where I dare not go for fear of severe reprisals. But, oh, of the spirit it has no regard or empathy for the alive yet there’s a plan and agenda somewhere in its devious mind. Cut it and slash it and make it not be and then I’m a woman free!! Linda - Thanks. At the moment I would just be happy with walking unencumbered! When that's done I'll think about flying - don't know where to yet but I do know that it will be! Helen |

My pleasure, anniepimm. Thanks for reading and for commenting. I remember when I was 54 and what came the year thereafter and now 10 years later everything has changed but so much is still the same. Helen |

I hear you, Helen. I remember 54 and now, 11 years later, much has changed and much is still the same. Ida |

That is the way life is dear Helen, some things do change and other things stay the way they are. I do hope it is the good things that stay the same with you. Love and a big hug. Lindsay |

Nicely written...your words say a lot of your feelings...a lot. |

Thanks Ida, M, Lindsay and Magnus. I guess if we don't "feel" things then they simply do not exist to an individual. What else but feelings make things stick? Helen |

I would say that the "spirit of love" is ethereal and lifts us up into the upper spheres of existence, can't imagine it as a millstone around your neck, dear Helen! Of course if you are speaking of a particular "attachment" things change. Look at it with tender "detachment" and listen to the song of your heart who requires free space to diffuse its multiple gifts. "Unchain my heart" comes to mind, lol! Your ponderings become our ponderings, dear Helen. You excell in them. Love, Margherita |

Thank you, dear Margherita. You are so very wise! "Unchain my heart" - yes, indeed. That's what is required and if it's gonna be, it's up to me! I seem to remember thinking that years ago. Must be a blockage between myself and the spirit that prevents the message getting through! Love Helen |
